FOXTON TENNIS CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the Foxton Tennis Club was held on Tuesday evening. There was a fair attendance, and the president (Mr'A. Fraser) occupied the chair. The annual report and balancesheet was adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Patron, the. Mayor (Mr J. Ghrystali); president, Mr A. Fraser; vice-presidents, Messrs F. S. Easton, F. Robinson', W. E. Barber, Dr. Mandl, and A. Ross; secretary, Mr E. Jackson; treasurer, Mr E. MeEwen; committee, Messrs R. McMurray, A. J. Kellow, L. J. Fume, 11. T. Graham, *H. Claris. Mesdames MeWurray, Crouquest, Kellow, Miss Bryant and Miss Hawke; match commit tee, Messrs A. J. Kellow, L, J. Fume'and E. McMurray; auditor, Mr C. M. Cronquest.- The following new members were elected; —Mrs Ban-, Sirs A. N. Smith, Miss McMaster, Miss I. Austin, Mrs Aus-tin-Johnston, Mrs Parkes, Miss Event!, Messrs H. T. Graham, W. Trueman, T. R. Hutton, Captain Miller, D. Grant, M. Robinson, S. Austin. It was decided to impose a levy of 5s on all men members to defray Costs of providing afternoon tea. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, 6th September,
