OBITUARY.
W. F. GRAY—AGED 50
The death took place at Wellington on Wednesday of Mr William F. Gray, late of Foxton. The laic Mr Gray, who was only 66 years of age, was a resident of loxl ou for many years. For some years he conducted the Post Office Hotel here, afterwards removing to the Auckland district, where he was engaged in -flax-milling. He returned to Foxton and again took over the Post Office Hotel. Whilst here he always took a very keen interest in all movements having for their object the advancement of the district. He was an enthusiast in racing matters, and had held office in the local Club as a steward and also as secretary. When he left Foxton six years ago he was elected a • life member. Mr Gray for (lie past few years bad been connected with the Tourist Department in Wellington. He was in comparatively good health until a' few days before his death, when he was seized with a stroke. Mr Gray leaves a widow and two daughters. His son Sergeant Alex. Gray, was killed at the front.
