SUPREME COURT CASES.
Invercargill, Aug, 2G. At the Supreme Court to-day there was only one case, that of Thomas Andrew Hannah, who appeared ior sentence on three charges of arson at Wallaeetowu. He was ordered to be detained for ten years’ reformative treatment. William James Perry, formerly an hotelkeeper in Christchurch, obtained a decree nisi in divorce against Myra Perry on the ground of adultery, and he was awarded £125 daml ages against the co-responden!, Daniel Hurlond, Junr,, baker, of Core. , Napier, Aug. 20. James Corbett Murphy, alias Sitfe* livau, came before the Supreme Court on a charge of theft of moneys totalling £43 4s, the property of the Federated Seamen’s Union. The jury returned with a verdict of guM-, ty, with a strong recommendatiotflo mercy on account of the laxity of the management of the Seamen’s Union in K T apier in dealing with its Kapler agent. His Honour said he would consider the recommendation and sentence the prisoner to-mor-row morning. ■
