ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
MAN THROWS HIMSELF UNDER TRAMCAR. Christchurch, Aug. 18. An unknown* man apparently deliberately threw himself under a moving tramear about midday. Prompt action by the motorynan brought up the ear, but not before the man had been dragged some distance. He was taken to the hospital. The extent of his injuries is not yet known. FARMER’S NECK BROKEN. Invercargill, Aug. 18.. Rolph Steffenson Mosan, farmed, Tussock Creek, was found, dead on the road not far from the Creek Post Office, His horse was near by. The circumstances point to the fact that the horse stumbled, and Mosan’s neck was broken in the fall. Mosan was unmarried, a Norwegian, and had no relatives in the Dominion.
