A fairly large number of cases of pneumonia arc reported in Christchurch,. and some alarm is felt at tlie prevalence of the disease, but Dr Cbessen added that the figures and private doctors report that there, is nothing in the nature of an epidemic, and if care is taken, most of the patients should, have a comparalively quick recovery. “There is nothing to warrant undue alarm,” are Dr Chesscn’s words.
