METHODIST CHURCH.

„ The Anniversary Services in connection with the local Methodist Church were held on Sunday last. Owing to the illness of Mr Moses Ayrton, the pulpit was occupied by the Lev. A. Harding. Good congregations were present at each service. The choir, under the leadership of Mr H. Osborne, acquitted themselves well, and gave a fine rendering of several anthems. Misses Evans and Honore presided at the organ.

The annual tea will be held .on Wednesday, in the supper-room of the Town Hall. Tea will be on the tables at 6 p.m. A special feature will be the table presided over by male members of the congregation. A meeting will be held in the church at 7.30 p.m., when a programme consisting of anthems, songs, recitations, short addresses, etc., will be submitted, to which the public is cordially invited.
