SCHOOL COMMITTEES’ ASSOCIATION.
The first annual meeting of the Manawatu School Committees Association was held in Palmerston, N. last night. There was a good and representative attendance. The annual reports and remits to be discussed at the Dominion Conference were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr J. A, Nash, M.P.) vice-pre-sidents, Mrs De Latour (Taihape), and Messrs A. E. Pearce (Waituna West), and A. J. Mahon (Palmerston North); secretary, Mr H. C. Le Grange; Executive Committee, Messrs J. K. Hornblow, A. Lancaster, C. H. Whitehead, R. W. Guy, and a Feilding delegate to be nominated by the two Feilding schools.
