MEETING OF SPORTS COMMITTEE.

A meeting of Iho Sports Committee in commotion with llie Peace Celebrations was held on Thursday afternoon, when a programme was drawn up consisting of: Foot races, novelty races, pillow fight, greasy pig hunt, tug-of-war, horse and driving events, including tilting at Die ring, pony leaping, cigar race, etc., and motor oar and cycle competitions of various kinds. The following stewards were appointed for the various events; Miscellaneous, Messrs Claris, O’Brien, P. Robinson, and Wainwright; tug-of-war, Messrs Rider, McMurray and Nye; horse and driving events, Messrs W. Barber, F. Woods, George Coley, and A. D, Scott; motor car and cycle events, Messrs 11. Graham, H. Coley, F. Whibley and J. K. Homblow. Entries for all events will be taken on the ground.
