HEALTH FIGURES.

Official returns show (hat thirteen eases of that dread disease, eerebro-spinal meningitis in the Dominion were reported during the month of May, making a total of forty since the commencement of (ho year to the date mentioned.

For the period January Ist to May 31st of the present year, a total of 1,25-1 eases of influenza were reported to the Public Health Department. The number notified during the month of ATay was 284. The official returns show an apparent increase, but this is not so, as the disease last year was not notifiable.
