NOTICE is hereby; given that this Board intends, at a meeting to be ..eld at the Board Office, on SATURDAY, 2Gth inst., to make and levy, under the provisions of the Rating Act, 1908, and the Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1908, and any Amendments thereto, a General Rate of 7-16ths of a penny in the £ upon the rateable Unimproved Value of all rateable properties appearing in the Valuation Roll of the, Moutoa Drainage District, and to collect one farthing in the £ (being a portion of Special Rate of ;]d in the £) on. the Unimproved Value "of all properties in the Special Rating District. Such Rates to be for the period commencing Ist April, 1919, and ending 31st March, 1920, and to be due and payable in one sum, at the office of the Board, on the 2nd day of August, 1919. THE Alanawatu County Council hereby gives notice that the said Council proposes to introduce in the General Assembly at its next Session a Local Bill entituled “The Alanawatu County Loan and Empowering Amendment Bill.” The objects intended to be effected by the said Bill are; —(1) To increase the amount: of the Special Loan authorised to be raised by the Alanawatu County Loan and Empowering Act, 1917 (Local), for the purposes of the Tramway from Ilium tangi to Pukenui, and for stone crushing and road-making plant, and other purposes in such Act; mentioned, from £IB,OOO to £30,000. (2) To enable the sum of £2,902 and £lO3, expended out of General Account for the purposes of the said Tramway, and of the said roadmaking plant respectively, to be refunded to the General Account out of the said loan money. AND NOTICE is hereby further given that copies of the said Bill have been this day deposited in the Magistrate’s Courts at Bulls and Foxton, and at the Office of the said Council at Sanson, and that such copies will be open for public inspection at the said Courts and office respectively for three complete weeks from this date.
