INFLUENZA CASES.

Reports received by the Minister for Health show that 25 cases of influenza were notified during the week IGth to 23rd June. Seven of the cases were pneumonic, and one other was severe. Two cases were fatal, one of them being septic pneumonia, while the other death was from heart failure, the result of influenza. In the Auckland district there were seven cases, one a fatal septic case, at Kawakawa, and another a fatal case of heart failure, at Otahuhu. In Wellington there were eleven cases, two of them pneumonic, one in the city and one at Danncvirke. In Canterbury district there were six cases, one pneumonic and one other severe. Only one case was notified in the whole of Otago and Southland.
