WOMEN IN PARLIAMENT.

Auckland, June 10. Replying to a deputation from the Auckland Branch of the National Council of Women, the Hon. Sir James Allen said he was hardly in a position to give an assurance that a Bill would be 'introduced during the coming session to make women eligible for Parliament. The Party leaders would return very soon. He thought the deputation could almost take it for granted that one of them had practically pledged himself to bring down a measure in the direction desired. He thought the bulk of members of Parliament were prepared to support the claims of the women.
