WEDDING.

RICHARDS—SYMES. All Saints’ Church was the scene of a pretty wedding' on Tuesday last, 171 h Juno, when Winifred Gertrude Mary, only daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Cymes, of the Bank of New Zealand, was married to Herbert Loft us Richards, only son of Mr and Mrs Loft ns Richards, of “Raynor, -1 Bulls. The ceremony was performed hy Ihe Rev. W. Raine, and Miss Belly presided at I lie organ. The church was crowded, many old friends of both families being present. The bride looked very graceful as she walked up the aisle on her father's arm. She was attired in a .beautiful frock of while charmeuse veiled in silver (issue and blue goorgotlo with a drape of palest pink satin forming train, and a veil of pale pink tulle. Her bridesmaids were Miss Vera Scott (Wanganui), who wore a lovely frock of pink crepe-de-ebene with an overdress of georgette, with beautiful fringe, and a black picture bat relieved with pink, and Miss Joyce McKclvie (Carnarvon), who was gowned in eau-de-nil silk veiled in while ninon with overdress of beautiful white lace and nel, and (hey both wore very dainty brooches, the gift of (he bridegroom. The bride’s gift, to the bridegroom was a signet ring, and bis gift to her a diamond ring. Mr Kelvin Hammond, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr Brian Symes, brother of the bride, groomsman. The bride’s mother wore black silk, with fox furs and black picture hat, and (ho bridegroom’s mother a gaberdine tailored suit, with smart black toque relieved with amber. The beautiful bourjuels, which were all made by Miss Joyce MeKelvie, were quite a feature of the wedding. The happy couple were showered with confetti on leaving the church. A reception was held later at the residence of the bride’s parents, at which the beautiful three-tiered cake, the gift and sole work of Miss Vera Scott, was much admired, aS< wore also the presents, which were numerous and costly, and included several handsome ’cheques. Among the guests were Mr and Mrs Loft us Richards (Bulls), Mrs D. Scott (Wanganui), Mr and Sirs J. MeKelvie and Mr and Mrs Gibbous (Carnarvon), Mr and Mrs J. Hammond and Miss Hammond (Ratal, Mr anil Mrs IT. V. Hammond (Wanganui)/ and Mr Gordon Hammond, Mrs P, Duncan and Miss Grace Duncan (Hunterville), Miss Duncan (Wanganui), Mr and 'Mrs Blackmore (Palmerston North), Mr Len. Richards (Bulls), Mr and Mrs J. Brice and Mr F. Brice .(Marton), Mr and Mrs H. Allan Ingle, also the Vicar and Mrs Raine.

After the reception Mr and Mrs Herbert Richards left by motor for the north. In common with Foxton friends, the “Herald’’ joins in wishing Mr and Mrs Richards long life, health and happiness.
