SOLDIER'S SUICIDE.

Christchurch, June l(i. A young man ■ named Thomas Flood has been missing from the farm of his unde at Rakaia since June Cth. Yesterday his body was found in four feet of water in an irrigation stream. There were stones in the pockets, and a kerosene tin, containing stones tied by a wire, round the neck. On the bank were his watch and a few last messages. Deceased was twenty-six years of age, and his parents reside at Edendale, Otago. He left with the Main Body, and was at the landing on Gallipoli, being subsequently wounded in the shoulder. He returned to New Zealand about two years ago.
