ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

~ Mas ter ton, June 15. William L. Falconer, a wellknown settler of Masterton, was killed last night on the MastertonCarterton road. Deceased was riding a push bicycle towards his home at Taratahi when a motor cycle ridden by a Maori named Manihera collided with him. When picked up Falconer was quite dead. The Maori sustained injuries to his head and face, but these were not serious. Falconer was a married man, and a Justice of The Peace. The cause of death was heart failure due to shock. YWhangarei, June 15. The death occurred at the hospital last night of Harry Dempster, aged about 50, a general carrier, as the result of a kick from his racehorse, Kaiangaroa, cm Friday afternoon. Dempster's face was fearfully mutilated, and his eyesight completely destroyed. He leaves a widow and five children, Dunedin, June 15, A returned soldier named Dausey living at Corey Hill, St. Clair, was fouml dead in bed on Saturday night by his wife, who bad just returned from a holiday. The indications point to heart failure. A man named Daniel David Brown, residing in Carroll Street, was found dead in bed to-day, death having apparently resulted from asphyxiation.
