FATAL ACCIDENTS.
Christchurch, Yesterday. An accident this morning at the Elmore Brick and Tile Company’s works at Hillsbrough, near Christchurch, resulted in the death of an employee named John Honuiwell. Deceased was feeding clay into the mixer, Avhen he slipped, and a foot was caught in the machinery, resulting in the leg being badly mangled. He died shortly after being released from the machine.
Wlmngarei, Yesterday
A fatal accident happened on the railway extension Avorks near Waiotera 'yesterday. It is reported that the steam navvy slipped on a boulder, Avhicl# fell on Joseph GarAvood, a AvidoAver Avith two children, inflicting injuries from Avliich he ex--pired soon afterwards. Palmerston N., Yesterday.
David Sinclair, a labourer, aged 57, Avas thrown from a trap at Carnarvon yesterday, and died in Palmerston Hospital to-day.
