RETURNING SOLDIERS.
OVER 5,000 ON THE WATER. Official advice has been received that another five transports have left the United Kingdom for the Dominion with 5,445 New Zealand troops on board. The particulars are as follows: — Waimana (Returning Draft No. 257) : Left United Kingdom May 10th; due at Auckland about June 21st. Draft comprises 1,075 troops. Prinz Essen (Returning Draft No. 258) : Left United Kingdom May 15th; due at Wellington about July Ist. Draft comprises 5G7 troops, 0 civilians, 81 women, 19 children. Maunganui (Returning Draft No. 250) : Left United Kingdom May 17th; due at Port Chalmers about July 2nd. Draft comprises 1,128 troops. Ruahine (Returning Draft No. 260) : Left United Kingdom May 19th; due New Zealand about July 4th, Draft comprises 850 troops, 11 civilians, 130 women, 35 children. Tahiti (Returning Draft No. 261) : Left United Kingdom May 27th; due at Auckland about July 16th. Draft comprises 1,216 troops.
