INFLUENZA OUTLOOK.

NECESSITY FOR CAUTION. Wellington, Last Night. The Minitscr for Health states that the reports received indicate that the influenza is well in hand in (he Dominion, and indications of a recrudescence, which were rather strong a few weeks ago, have not materialised. It will be necessary to follow a policy of caution for a little while longer, hut: directly the position in Australia has sufficiently improved to make it probable that no danger would be incurred thereby, the people would be permitted to return to New Zealand. The Department have reported to the Minister that ample slocks of vaccines have been prepared and distributed to various hospital boards to be available to those practitioners desiring to use them. The Department does not recommend inoculation, as the results where it had been tried were not convincing enough to* justify its general adoption.
