SUPREME COURT.

IN DIVORCE. In the Supreme Court, Palmerston North, yesterday morning, mention was made by Air Cooper of the defended divorce suit which was disposed of at the last sessions, do Ridder v. de Ridder, in which the petitioner secured an annulment of his marriage with Alice de Ridder. Counsel said that there was an application for alimony on behalf of the respondent, which he asked he adjourned for hearing at the next sittings of. the. Court. Air Aloore, who appeared for th<» petitioner, offering no objection, His Honour granted the required adjournment. Air Aloore also mentioned that- the motion for a now’ trial moved on behalf of the respondent had been abandoned. His. Honour remarked that from his observations of the case he did no think that there would have been much hope of the motion succeeding had it been brought on.
