The influenza eases still show’ a steady diminution, the number of cases reported this month totalling If in the city and 44 in the country districts —one fatal —against 73 for the" first half of last month. The majority of the cases are mild, only one proving fatal. Four eases from the Niagara are still in quarantine, but will be released on Alonday next. Over sixty carpenters are now' on the island, erecting half a dozen new buildings, to cope with future emergencies. ‘
