FATAL ACCIDENT.
MAN KILLED AT MfRANUI. An accident occurred at (lie Miranui Mill yesterday morning, resulting 1 in the death of L, Eneboldsen. Deceased, together with other men, were engaged in quarrying some clay, and had undermined ai section with about a five or six feet face. They had fired a shot to bring it down, but for some reason the section did not come (dean a ' way. Deceased and a male went no on the face to investigate, and found that it had only been shattered. "While they were there discussing' the possibilities of shifting it with a bar or another shot, the face started to move. His mate managed to get off, hut Eneboldson fell down the crevice that opened up, and a quantity of earth came back, ‘almost completely burying him, and indicting serious injuries. The doctor and ambulance were immediately summoned, but Encboldsen did not survive long after being? rescued by the men, and died about.' the lime the ambulance and doctor arrived. He was a wider, vr, and leaves four children, who resided with him at Miranui. An inquest? will be held.
