ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Wellington, May 1. During shunting operations on the railway wharf to-night, an engine ran over a man, severing one log and mangling the other. The man was removed to the hospital, whore he died soon after admission. At a late hour the victim was still unidentified, but it is believed he was a member of the crew of the Tninui. Wellington, May 2. Donald Rennie, an able seaman on the Tninui, who was injured by a .shunting engine at tire railway wharf "last night, died .two hours later. The driver of the engine saw something lying on .the (rack, hut was unable to.stop in time, the man was terribly injured.
