INFLUENZA

POSITION IN THE DOMINION. Chrislehureh, April 28. The Hon. 0. W. Russell, Minister of Public Health, staled Unit (here were G 4 eases of influenza reported in the whole Dominion, of: whieh 15 were severe. Only three eases were notified in (lie South Island, and this seemed to show that the disease was stronger in the wanner elinmles, and negatived its being acccpted by (he Heallh Department that a recrudescence of the disease was to be looked for as the eold weather came on. The indieations proved such as to he regarded as favourable on this point.
