IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED that Subscriptions in anticipation of the forthcoming War Loan arc now being received at the Treasury or at any Bank or I Postal Money-order Office in the Dominion. Snell subscriptions will carry interest from the date of lodgment to Public Account. Taxpayers are reminded that the Compulsory provisions of the Finance Act (No. -2), 19.18, will be put info operation, and that persons who are requiru ed to subscribe under compulsion will receive 3 per cent, only by way of interest on their investments. Persons who voluntarily subscribe in anticipation will receive credit for their subscriptions when the compulsory sections of the Act arc put into operation. Voluntary subscriptions will bear interest at the rate of 44. per cent., free of income-tax; date of maturity, 1938.
