THE MAYORALTY.
A deputation waited upon Mr M. E. Perronu yesterday, with a request that ho offer himself as a. candidate for the Mayoralty. Mr Perreau promised to give the rquest consideration, and elsewhere in this issue Mr Perreau sets forth his reasons for declining the honour, at the same time expresses his appreciation of the confidence reposed in him.
