BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at last night’s Council meeting as follows: — The sum of £578 10s 5d was received during the month of March, and placed to credit as under: —District fund account £s7(i 2s 13 d, cemetery account £2 7s (id. The balances of the various funds at the Bank of New Zealand as at the 31st March, 1919, were as follows; —District fund account, debit, £Ol2 17s Id, cemetery account, credit, £32 16s Bd, and the ledger balances at the same date as follows: —Cemetery £32 IGs Bd, hospith! and charitable aid £l6 7s fid, library £lO 7s lid, reserves £l3l 10s Od, sanitation £9O (is 7d, interest £93 13s 10d; all in credit, a total of £375 2s 3d. The accounts at debit were: Gas works £567 7s Od, general £417 15s lid, total £985 2s lid. SUMMARY. A/es in credit 375.2 0 Bank bal, D.F. A/c, cr. 642 17 1 A/es at deb. 985 2 11 Bank bal.
