CROQUET.

Yesterday a. party of croquet players from Levin visited Fox ton. In (lie morning' a (went y-minufes tonmamenl was played, the winners being Mesdames Pearson and Perroau. In the afternoon Miss Whittaker and ilrs Kirk played the holders of the Gold Stars. Mesdames Evans and Perrean. In the first part of the game the Foxton players established a good lead, but towards the end the visitors pulled up well, and at the finish were beaten by live points only. The local players entertained the- visitors at morning and afternoon tea, and lunch.
