Waihi, April 5

In connection with the mining dispute between the Waihi .Miners’ Union and the Mining Company relative to certain men being exempted from joining (he union, a ballot was taken to-day as to whether the union would accept Mr Charles Rhodes’ (attorney for the Waihi Company) offer to pay contributions and all the legal levies (ill November next, the date of the expiration of the present agreement. The ballot resulted, by a substantial majority, in favour of not accepting Mr Rhodes’ offer.
