TAKES POISON WHILE LOW'- , SPIRITED. Invercargill, April 4. Alf. McLean, a married returned soldier, was admitted to Southland Hospital a little while ago because he was morose and low-spirited. He was found lying on the Jloor in the bathroom at the institution suffering from the effects of poison on Thursday evening, and died shortly afterwards. It is believed (hat the poison was self-administered, but it is not known how he obtained it.
