CROQUET.
A party of: local croquet players visited Levin yesterday. Play commenced in the morning, and continued all day. The home players treated the visitors very hospitably. A match for the Gold Stars was played, the challengers being Mcsdames Evans and Perrean. The game was very closely contested throughout, and resulted in a win for the Foxton players, who defeated their opponents on the peg. Mrs Perrean was also successful in winning the 20 minutes tournament played in the
