SUSPECTED INCENDIARISM IN HOKITIKA.

Hokitika, March 2d, Early on Saturday morning an unoccupied building was destroyed by fire. The cause of the outbreak is unknown. On Friday morning, at 4 o'clock, there was another alarm, two fires being discovered in different: parts of the town. One outbreak, in the.centre of Revell Street, was easily extinguished, but in the other instance an unoccupied residence, formerly the home of the late Hon. J. Holmes, was completely destroyed. Considerable alarm is felt, as incendiarism is suspected.
