The Acting-Prime Alinisier made a further statement to-day regarding the announcement of the results of the Licensing poll. He said that the CroAvn law officers had reconsidi ered the provision of the Act relative to counting Hie votes, and they uoav advised that the number of votes recorded at each polling booth might be publicly announced on the night of (he poll. Sir -lames Allen added that this did not necessarily moan Unit the result of the poll would he known on Hie night of voting. The voles recorded at the booths could he announced, but there .would be oilier voles recorded by members of the Expeditionary Force to be received later.
