Demobilisation of Hie Neiv Zealand Expeditionary Forces is steadily progressing, stated the Minister for Defence (Sir Janies Allen) to a Press reporter yesterday. The total number hoav abroad, including the sick in hospital, nurses, and so on, is 33,956. A cablegram recently received gives the folloAving particulars as to the strength of the Ncav Zealand Expeditionary Force: —In France, 6,019; in the United Kingdom, 22,203; patients iu hospital in Hie United Kingdom, 4,060; married men with Avives and families in (he United Kingdom, 1,306; nurses and Red Cross workers to he evacuated, 368;, total abroad, 33,956; total evacuated from England to New Zealand since Armistice, 12,830.
