PATIENTS’ FEES
Now dial. Boards are approaching the end oL' their limmcial year, (ho Department strongly recommends that action he taken wherever possible by Boards’ oltieers to eliminate the irrecoverable value of hospital patients’ fees outstanding' in the books of each Board. It is advised that Boards instruct secretaries to compile lisls of outstanding fees for submission with recommendations to the Board’s Finance Committee, who should decide which fees are to he written off, etc. It is desirable that (his be done so (hat, as near as possible, the item shown in Table X of the annual returns, ‘Tees outstanding as at 31st March, 1010,” will represent the asset shown at an amount closely approaching its value. It is hoped that Ibis mailer will receive the serious consideration of all Boards and their Secretaries. —The dournal of Public Health.
