A TRIP TO THE WAR ZONE.
MR. FRED FIR A NFS EXPERIENCES. TWO LECTURES. On Friday afternoon next Mr Fred. Pirani will deliver a loelnre, under the auspices of the Pox ton Patriotic Society, on his recent tour in the old world, illustrated hy lantern slides, espe<'ially for school children and their parents who cannot attend in the evening. The subjects he will deal with will he: The King, Queen and Princess Alary at Windsor Castle, a visit to the New Zealand front, a few days in Ireland and Scotland, something of London and rural England, Honolulu, a run through Canada and New York, the trip across the Atlantic, and back home through the Panama Canal. In the evening, the lecture will include a trip Home through Canada and New York, a fortnight in France, following our hoys over the battlefield, some big men —Balfour, Bonar Law, Lord Milner, Generals Haig, Lawrence, Horne, Russell and Richardson, women’s work, the great Avar effort at Homo, the Royal Family, the Panama Canal, etc. At the afternoon lecture, at 2.30 o’clock, school children will be admitted free, and the charge for the evening lecture will be, upstairs Is, downstairs (id, and children halfprice. Air John Chrystall, president of the Patriotic Society, will occupy the chair, and the net proceeds will be devoted to the Foxton AVounded Soldiers’ Fund.
