CHARGE OF ATTEMPTED MURDER.
"Wellington, Feb. 28. John James Joseph Lee was today charged with an attempt to murder bis wife, Olive Obiea Lee, at Newtown last night. They have been living apart for some time, but met last night. He asked His wife to go back, but she refused, and it is alleged Lee attacked her with-a razor, in flic ling severe gashes on the fact and head. Accused was remanded for one week. Bail was refused.
