AT ;i Jiicoliny of (lie Waikato SubProvincial Executive of I lu.- Now Zealand Fanners’ Union, held htsl week, t!ie provineial executive wrote that at the Dominion conferonee tlio following resolution was earned; —“That the Dominion and provineial exeeti fives lake such steps as are. necessary in order that the Farmers’ Union branches may discuss the question of elective executive and send their representatives to the next Dominion conference with .instructions as to their decision in regard thereto.” The executive forwarded a number of categorical queries which they requested the lirandies to answer. Mr Duxtield expressed the conviction that they could never go away from parly government, but under the elective executive proposal the Cabinet would he elected by members, and not appointed by a party. The time was ripe for them to get strong farmer representation in the House; that was the feeling among the farming community all over the country. They did not desire political windbags in the House, but practical men who understood the needs of the country. He gave notice of motion that tiie executive discuss at next meeting the question of forming a farmers’ parly. The chairman and other members expressed the view that it was absolutely necessary to form a farmers’ party,
