NEW STEAMERS FOR N.Z
Several new steamers are expected in New Zealand within the next mouth or two. The War Courage (one of the standard ships), of (i,.Bso'tons gross, 411 ft. long, 55ft. beam, was built in 1918 by Armstrong and Whitworth. Newcastle-on-Tyne, and is owned by the Shipping Controller, She leaves New York for Australia, aad ou discharge, will be loaded by the C. and 1). Line in New Zealand for Hull and Imminghan, sailing in April. The War Opal, which left New York on 30th January fur Auckland and Wellington, consigned to the C. and I). Line, is of G,GSO tons gross, 412 ft. long, and 55ft. beam, and was built in 1918 by J. M. Thompson, Sunderland. She is also owned by the Shipping Controller. Leaving New York for Auckland and Wellington, consigned to the C. and I), Lino, the War Pilot is of 5,875 tons, 385 ft. long and 51ft. beam, and was built in 1917 by the Kawasaki Dockyard, Kobe, Japan, and is managed by Furness, Withy.
