“THAT PETITION.”
(To the Editor.)
Sir. —Would you allow me to say u few words ns regards that marvellous petition, asking for the resignation of the Chairman of the School Committee. I am astonished, Sir, that the Chairman should have received the same and taken it seriously. Why, many of those signatories have no direct interest, whatever in the school. Some of them even have their children attending a private, school, others again have no children at all. Surely, Sir, ii would only he fair play for the Chairman to have had a genuine petition if one at all, otherwise I hold that the majority of pa mils have not sought his resignation. (f Messrs McMurray and Keilow cannot make a better show than that they should for over hide their heads. Trusting these few linos will show the appreciation of (ho Chairman’s past efforts. —I am, e(c., A GENUINE PARENT.
