The Dixon Cup mutch, Poxlon (chulimbers) v Palmerston North (holders), to have luma played at Palmerston North yesterday afternoon, had to lie postponed on account of rain. The weather in Palmerston during' the morning was showery, but it cleared towards midday, .and all arrangements were made to play the game, the green then being in tip-top order. About 2 ohdock. however, heavy rain began to fall, and continued during most of the afternoon. When I lie rain started it was too late to prevent the challenging rink —1). Wlnhley, Woods, Nye, F. D. Whibley (s) —from making the trip, as the players were then well on their way to Palmerston. The match will ite played next Wednesday afternoon.
