SEASIDE CONCERT.
There was a full house at the concert held in the jMcthodist Church at the seaside last night. The chair was occupied by Mr Hornblow, who, in opening, brictly referred to the erection of the church by Mr Stiles and handed over to the Methodists free of debt. He was informed that there was a small debt on the church representing rent and maintenance, and (he effort that night was to assist in liquidating it. The programme was much appreciated by the audience, and most of the item- were .encored. A feature of the programme was a number of selections by Mr Ebbctl’s orchestra, consisting of seven instrumentalists. Tim hope was expressed that the orchestra -hould again visit the seaside and give an open-air concert. Songs were contributed hy Mesdames Teviotdale, L. Bullard, Miss Bryant, and Mr Chrystall, recitations hy Messrs Smith and Hornblow, and it duct by Mrs Bullard and Miss Evans. Tim accompaniments were played by Mi-. es Evans and Signal. At the conclusion a hearty vote of thanks moved by the Kev. Mr Harding, was accorded ail who had assisted. The concert concluded with the National Anthem,
