The expenditure was as follows: Slakes £1,025, |oInlisator (ax £OIB 0s 7d, Governs meal dividend duly £574 17s od, printing and advertising £llO, labour and gatekeepers £7-1 10s od, stipendiary stewards £3O Is 2d, luncheon and stewards’ room £2O, amusement and stakes tax £2B 17s Id., handicapner £1.5, judge £.lO 10s od. starter £.lO, music £lO, commission on race cards £0 10s od, detective £5 5s Od, and car hire £2.15s Od. a total of £3,171 Its 10d, leaving a profit as slated above. Compared with last year the receipts show increases as follows; — Nominations®and acceptances £9B, race cards £2l ,12s Od, gales £7 4d 9d, publican’s booth £5. There is a decrease in Die amount received, from (he lolall-nfor of £3O 8s Od, lull this is brought about by Die fact that the totalisator proprietors were paid one per cent, on the turnover (his year, against Diree-quarlors per cent, last year. On Dio expenditure side (he chief increase is in stakes, which this vear exceeded last year’s by £350, Die Government dividend duty exceeded last year by £9 7s (id, £l.l. Is 3d more was paid for printing and advertising this year, the amount of Die totalisator tax was £ll Is Id more this year than last, and Dm stipendiary stewards cost £l.l more. There was a decrease of £3l 2s Gd in the cost of luncheon and stewards’ room.
