LAUNCH WRECKED.

CAPTAIN' MISSING. ENGINEER ENTOMBED IN THE HULL. New Plymouth, Jan. 24. The oil launch Mahoe, owned by Mr C. A. Ogle, of Wailara, hound from Marokopa to Wailara, while approaching Waitara between o ami (i pan., struck the bar, turned turtle, and drifted on a reef. Captain Roberts is missing, and the engineer (Jamieson) is believed to be entombed. Two passengers (one a son of the proprietor and another a youth named Jury) got ashore in a boat with George .Millar, the third member of the crew. An attempt was made at low tide to release the engineer, but fumes prevented the operations being carried on. There was a .fair sea at the time, of the disaster. The vessel was about 20 tons. She,was carrying a load of wool and a heavy deck cargo.
