There was a good muster on 1 Iks local green yesterday afternoon, and a very enjoyable time was spent. A rink from the Beach was present, and played a local rink skipped by F. Whibley, and also an eleven head game against a team skipped by Riminer. In both games the visitors were successful. The following are the teams and scores: Lovelock Spring Needham Bryant Miehie Christie Sutcliffe (s) 18 F. Whiblov (s) 13 Lovelock M. 11. Walker Needham Woods Miehie Hawke Sutcliffe (s) 14 Rimmer (s) 7 DIXON CUP. A team from the Palmerston North Club journeyed to Shannon yesterday afternoon to. play a match for the Dixon Cup, and were successful in wresting the trophy from the holders by a substantial margin. The following were the, teams and scores: —Palmerston N.; IL Seifert, W. J. B. Jolly, N. H. Nash, and J. A. Nash (skip), 30; Shannon; W. MeKegg, W. Berquist, R, Bilderbcek, and J. Roach (skip), 17. Foxtou has the next challenge.
