SEASIDE NOTES.

The new hall at the Beach will be. opened to-morrow night with a social. and dsmcc.

On Thursday evening, at the Fox ton Beach, the visitors and residents are holding a mock election of Mayor ami councillors for the borough of Te Wharangi (Manawalu Hoads). Nominations close (he same day, at noon, with the unofficial registrar, Mr A. J. B. Sieely. Speeches will be delivered by the candidates at 8 p.m., at the Hall, a’nd those present representing the electors will vote. The sncccssfid candidates will be expected to return thanks.

On New Year’s Hay sports will he held at the Foxton Beach, commencing at 1 p.m. An energetic committee is making complete arrangements, and visitors arc assured of a splendid afternoon s fun.
