BOWLING.
The local Club will he represented hy two rinks at the Tournament to he held at Palmerston North under the auspices of the Manawatu Centre on January Ist, 2nd and 3rd. Play each day will commence at 9 a.m. The Pox ton’ rinks are: Jackson, McColl, Xye, F. D. Whihley (s), and Barr, Huntley, Christie, dimmer (s).
The following are the results of competition games played recently: Ladder. —F, D. Whibley 18 beat Rimmer 17.
Pairs. —Jackson and F. D. Whibley (scr.) 11, beat McMurray and Mandl (2) 8.
The Dixon Cup is still in possession of the .Shannon Club. Since defeating the previous holders at Feilding, the Shannon rink has successfully defended their right to the trophy against teams from Woodville and Terrace End. J. A. Nash’s Palmerston rink has (he next challenge in, followed by Foxton.
