THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day : Northerly winds, strong to gale at times, and backing by west to south. Expect dull weather, with mist and fogs. Heavy rain is to he expected. The weather will probably become colder. Barometer falling, but rising shortly. Sea rough, tides poor. Sea and tides increasing shortly.
