FOXTON HARBOUR BOARD

A meeting of the: Foxlon Harbour Board was held at Palmerston North yesterday. Presoul : Messrs P. Hcunessy (chairman), T. ; J. Clapham, D. W. Matheson, J. A. Nash, M.P., W. E. Barber, and J. Linklafer. An apology for absence was received from Mr T. Rimmer.

TREASURER’S STATEMENT,

The Treasurer reported, as follows;—The balance to credit a'j Bank of New Zealand last meeting was : general £203 11s lid, and loan £-1,004, a total of £5,227 11s lid. The receipts since then were,, pilotage £l4 Gs 9d, rent £lO 5s Od, and road contributions £3 2y..0d, making a total of £5,201 0s 2d. The expenditure was as follows: —General: Harbourmaster £37 13s 4d, Secretary £lO, labour £4 0s Gd, printing and advertising £3 2s od, audit £1 13s -Id, benzine and kerosene £l2 3s Od, pilot’s residence £2O. 0s lid, and sundries 14s od. a total of £9O 3s 4d; and against loan account j printing £1 4s od, and interest £134 5s od, leaving the balances; General £207 2s lOd, and lo'an £4,83111s Od.

BEAGIt IMPROVEMENTS

’Hie following report was received from Ihe Beach Improvement Committee-We desire to report having planted fully 1,500 trees (pinus bauksia) this year, and have ten sighoards ready to creel, with “Trees planted here.
