FIXED FOR APRIL 10th

Wellington, Dec. 20

An Extraordinary Gazette Axes April 10th for the dale of the licensing referendum.

Regulations are published lor taking the votes of soldiers in (■amps or hospitals, etc., also those out of New Zealand. For those in England and elsewhere in Europe special polling places wilt be provided, and the High Commissioner will cable the result to Now Zealand. An official in Egypt, to be appointed by the High Commissioner, will conduct, the poll for all the men in the East, and cable the result. Arrangements are also made for the men in Samoa, and those who may be on board ship, in I hose two cases the ballot boxes will be sealed, and (be voles counted on arrival in New Zealand.
