DEATH IN A TRAIN.
MAN’S SUDDEN COLLAPSE,

A passenger by Ihe Wairarapa (rain this aflernoon, 'William Jlalh maidenly collapsed ami expired. His body was brought on to Woodvilio. It appears Ilia! lie had been hurrying to eaieh the (rain at Pahialua, as lie remarked dial lie had nearly missed it. He had been visiting his sister, Mrs Avery, at Pahia(aa, and was returning to Levin.
A Pahialua message also reports Mr Hall’s death, and adds that he was a son of the late dohn Hall, an original settler at Pahiatna. Lately he had been farming at Te Kowhai, in the Waikato. His wife predeceased him. He leaves three sons (two on active service) and two daughters. Deceased was a prominent Mason, Druid and For- ’ ester.
